Joy to the world – Christmas !

God bless your holiday, children! Let the photograph below be my Christmas card to the world. It is taken in the forest of mine. And under it, you’ll find music.

You know, the other day aI listened to that lovely thing “I wish you a merry Christmas” in one of the great stores, in my home town. And, gosh, aI thought. Ai will make a Norwegian greeting. And the text aI made cannot be in English, right. Ai mean, “I wish you a merry Christmas” is not in Norwegian …

Ai am not informed about who is playing. They are wonderful, aI think.

Merry Christmas!

Scandinavia right now

You must agree this looks like being a bit cosy? This is Scandinavia in the middle of December. Notice how little light, there is. And that wonderful snow. Ai learned the other day, in Dubai there is a tremendous flower garden which is open only wintertime. Summertime it is to dry … Indeed, we have different notions of weather and nature.

That timber put along the fence aI made for to warn people and animals there is wire, here, which is not good. This kind of barrier, without the wire, in old times was usual, and was what fence originally was.

Snowing down

In Norway, you know, there is this expression “snowing down”. Strange, perhaps, to foreigners, though, one is used to the snow, which may come in amounts wintertime. And it covers everything, right. So, if a person is lost, so to speak, he has “snowed down”. Crazy, in a way, though cosy, since playing in the snow, and making caves in the snow is cosy. And one just has to wait for the spring, right, to see if he turns up, again.

This stone would not snow down. It is Dovregubben, which is the fairy tale father, of Norway.

Speed bump in Norwegian

Today, aI made an entrance to the forestry aI cleaned and cleared this summer. This photo is from what aI call the “fartsdump”, which, differently from in English, goes down, not up. “Dump” is a hole, or a small excavation in the ground. And, that is funny. In the picture, there was an old stream which is no more, and in that old creek a tree is lying, having fallen down, So, there is a hindrance, on the track. And meeting such an hindrance sparkles something in the Norwegian, culturally speaking. We call it to be “forbannet”. The Swede is not unlike us, in that respect. And, “forbannet” literally means “damned”. To be is energy, lissom , and in fact we can be more or less “forbannet”. And that is a strange thing to be, don’t you agree?

Hotheaded craziness

You see, children, some people are crazy, in a bad and dangerous way. This kind of playhouse is more common to see in America than in Norway, aI believe. Ai bought one this spring, though, and placed it in the forestry of my neighbourhood. And that sparkled something, because aI saw the forest was devastated. So, for 6 months aI cleaned the forestry around me. And then, when winter set in, aI took down most of the orderlies aI had made. Wood fences, and the like. Ai raged, at that time, because of mistreatment aI am subjected to. So, that was a reason why. Ai saw, though, quickly, it was a nice thing to do to simplify the making before the winter set in. And this play house, or doll house, aI moved to one of the playgrounds of my neighbourhood. And see, what some have done, to it. It is not okay. One might be furious on me, and one might be crazy as craws. Children, though, one wishes the best. Some people are though crazy in a bad and dangerous way. And such people one should try to avoid.
