Speed bump in Norwegian

Today, aI made an entrance to the forestry aI cleaned and cleared this summer. This photo is from what aI call the “fartsdump”, which, differently from in English, goes down, not up. “Dump” is a hole, or a small excavation in the ground. And, that is funny. In the picture, there was an old stream which is no more, and in that old creek a tree is lying, having fallen down, So, there is a hindrance, on the track. And meeting such an hindrance sparkles something in the Norwegian, culturally speaking. We call it to be “forbannet”. The Swede is not unlike us, in that respect. And, “forbannet” literally means “damned”. To be is energy, lissom , and in fact we can be more or less “forbannet”. And that is a strange thing to be, don’t you agree?
